| Jul. 20th, 2011 10:57 pm While I have a few minutes before bed, I figured I'd post this video. I've been wanting to see this for 3 years now. I'm so glad someone finally posted it up on youtube! It's an old 80's anime called "Cosmos Pink Shock". It's the same character designer as Iczer1, original macross & Megazone 23 part 1. *drool* Unlike the other stuff he has designed this show is actually a space comedy. I haven't finished it yet, but so far so good! Check it out and tell me if you like it too! <3

| Jun. 2nd, 2011 10:30 pm Boston Comic-con This is a late update. Went to Boston comic-con to promote Chaotic Kiss with Pachuki since she had a dealers table. Let's start with Saturday: Didn't sleep due to fixing my costume the night before and it took a lot longer than I thought it would. This lead me to be really out of it most of the day so I am gonna just write what I can remember. *Honey Dew Donuts coffee and a coffee cake muffin was had. Met up with Pachuki at her house ON TIME!! (I know people...once in a life time right there!) parked my car at her place and carpooled with her. Parked at the midtown hotel where we stayed at for Anime Boston. Walked quite a while to the hynes since we had to go to a special entrance. It was freezing! Wore my leopard capri pants and leopard hoodie in which Pachuki kept teasing me that I am the crAzY Leopard lady! LOL it was the running joke all weekend.
*Changed into my Sydney costume in the dealers room bathroom. Met some nice girls in there getting their costumes on too. This was a different experience for me since I always go to the con IN costume and leave IN costume. This con I just changed into costume there and then changed out after. Once in costume I ran into Ken. He told me he was the official photographer for the con. Cool. He took my pic and I wandered around handing out Chaotic Kiss business cards.
*Around 4 got a hold of one of guys of Cosplay Nation. Met up with them for an interview. Pretty cool. Can't wait to see what a nerd I look like! HAHAHA
* Ran into Beanie in her robin from batman costume and Corey, Harris's friend while in the halls. Everyone at this con was super nice! I'm not much of a comic person, but I appreciated how social and nice everyone was there.
* Around 7 or so I went back to the bathroom to change. Some guy stopped me and asked me if that was hairspray sticking out of my backpack. Um...yes? I'm thinking he is gonna tell me it's not allowed in the con center or something. Instead he asked how much I wanted for it?! LOL He needed something so he could spray down his commission art pieces with so they don't smudge. He gave me $4 for it!!!! This is for a half empty can that was $2 when it was full. Awesome sauce! ^__^
* Got back to Pachuki's house and literally dropped. Sat on her bed and I was out for the night. I didn't intend on staying over, but by the time I woke it was 3am and there was no way I was driving 40 minutes back home, just to drive back another 40 minutes @ 8am.
Sunday: * Out the door by 9am. Stopped at the small honey dew donuts on teh way. yummy!! Pachuki and I became very caffeinated and silly the whole ride into Boston. It was made of win!
*Got into costume and sat at the table with Pachuki. She started drawing and then inking...which got me really wanting to draw. I told her if she didn't finish the drawing, I would color it. LOL She sold a really nice illustration of Yujiko for $30. She originally was drawing it to be an eye catch between chapters. Aw well.
*Business wasn't the best, but she was the only anime style comic there in a sea of comic fans. Funny enough the ones who were interested were little kids and as soon as the parents spot that it is a gay and trans gender comic, they start steering the kids away. I think it's cuz our table was so colorful! ^_~ hahah
* Ran into 2 people from my graduating class from high school, Ashley & Sean. Weirdness, since none of them were really into this stuff in high school. Both admitted it was a new hobby. As I've been saying, "It's a good time to be a nerd" with so many fandoms to be into now a days. It seems everyone has a little nerd in their interests. It was nice to see them both! ^___^
* Not too long after Sonia & Usha got to the con cosplaying from Chaotic Kiss as well. That is when we got swarmed for photos the rest of the con. It was lots of fun! Sonia was the lolita queen Maribella and Usha was Sydney's best friend Yujiko. ^__^ Their costumes came out so awesome! I was so happy they came!!
* Then we got suckered into entering the costume contest. Lots of waiting in the green room. Then Ushako & Soniabella and I got to strut for pics into two rooms full of people taking photos and then to show off to the judges. In the end we won best anime characters! ^___^ Sweet!
* Hung out some more then the con ended. Pachuki treated me to Wagamama Japanese restaurant in the Prudential (since i had never been! Yeah..I know!) And then to top off a great day green tea yogurt from Berryline! Fun con with great company! I got a lot more out of it than I expected. It so made up for my sick AB!

| Apr. 29th, 2011 03:45 am I went to Anime Boston....I think ( Friday ) ( Saturday ) ( Sunday ) This con obviously wasn't half as awesome as it was last year for me, but that had nothing to do with the con itself or anyone else. Being sick just put a big damper on things. So, I apologize to any of you whom I saw and I wasn't in best spirits. Worst weather for an Anime Boston since I can remember. Usually, it's been beautiful and sunny. Not this time. Popular cosplays this weekend: Kuroshitsuji, Hetalia, and Panty & Stocking. Now feeling better looking back, I really wish I could have made it a great experience. Now I must wait for next year! Boo! Hiss! I am just going to have to make the next cons just that much cooler...LIKE 20% COOLER!! Current Music: Maroon 5- misery

| Apr. 11th, 2011 04:35 pm What time is it??? ADVENTURE TIME! Yay for day off! Yes, this is my first day off from Easter Bunny work since 8 days ago. -___-
Mom & Devon have been gone all week so today was more of a catch up day with them. Need to get sewing since there isn't much time left before anime boston.
Gary and I are super homies as of late. I see him like 3 times a week! lol I guess because it's so convenient that we both work where each other live. He's just so fun to hang with because he's always up for anything food wise and whatever we are gonna watch. I've been hooked on Adventure Time. Got him into it too and now we quote it all the time! LOL
This episode always makes me laugh!! LOL "Everything brainless likes music!!" "This is all your fault dude...if you weren't so darn hansom animals wouldn't always be staring at you!"
God there was so much I wanted to write...now i don't remember. Distracted by Jake & Finn...this is my life. ha!

| Mar. 28th, 2011 02:56 pm lolwut Patalliro?? So I stumbled upon some info and it's got me wondering....is it a coincidence or actually based off this?!
Patalliro du Malyner VIII The 10 year old diabetic brainchild king of Malynera. Looks like a butterball with white hair and yellow military suit.
The new info I found: www.molossia.org/president.html I think Malynera is parodying Molossia, a small 1 achier of land country. The president...looks like Patalliro! He also changes identities like Patalliro does! I can't find any info stating this info is true...but DAMN if it isn't!!!
What do you think?

| Feb. 28th, 2011 06:47 pm Let's talk fandom * Watched Episode 21 last night of Star Driver. So..... who else is wondering how we are gonna wrap up this WHOLE show in 4 more episodes?????!!!! Either it's gonna be rushed...or it's gonna do the ol' " you were expecting a wrap up?? hahha ...oh u!" PLUS what the hell happened with Keito sneaking into Sugata's room????!!! You end the episode on a cliff hanger that she is gonna raep him and...nothing mentioned ever again!!! Come oooooooonn!
*If you haven't been spammed a million times by me about the Ponies...well here is your chance! I luv me sum poooooniiiiiiies! Now if u don't have interest in the show, but if you are a cosplayer and/or a commissioner (*cough lizzyhamham cough* for example)...you will so appreciate this episode because it's so true!!
Plus another personal favorite of mine "Applebuck Season". This episode reminds me of myself. Apple Jack takes on too much work/projects and then by the end is a tired hot mess. ( I can't stop laughing at those parts because I know exactly what that is like! Reminds me of the week before a convention and me taking on friend's costumes on top of my own!) Watch it! Funny...ha ha! Tell me what you think! I am wanting to talk fandom people!!!

| Feb. 9th, 2011 07:11 pm Why so dreamy? God...I'm in love!! Why do anime men have to be so desirable!!?? AAAHHHH!!! SQUUUEEEEE!! *___*

My 3 current crushes. From left Hajime from Yume Tsukai, Takuto from Star Driver and Kuranosuke from Kuragehime. *sigh* Yeahhh.....
What about them? Hajime- Confident. He's so smart and creative, but his confidence is the main attraction. He's okay with being himself, but cool without coming off as an egotist.
Takuto- Innocent & Naive. Just seeing him blush is just too funny! He's not dumb by any means, just sheltered and it's sooo cute! BUT, when it comes down to business, he is a pro at being on his game.
Kuranosuke- Unprejudiced. He is so excepting of people's imperfections even though he does try to improve exterior through make overs. A very determined character as well.
What do they all have in common? Super optimism. They are all the most positive even in the worst of situations. It's a nice change from my love of angsty boys. I guess it's exactly the same for my tastes in real life. That is what I like! ^__^ Current Music: Millionaires- Martinis & Mixed feelings

| Jan. 31st, 2011 01:19 am It's been an Anime kinda month! Life is always better when my #1 love of my life (anime) reminds me that I need to spend less time doing stupid shit and more time watching what Japan has to offer in the way of entertainment.
So you all know that I finished Go Lion <3 cheers to that!Next mech show I've fallen for is Star Driver!! Now for those of you who haven't seen it yet...its like if Utena & Gurren Lagann had a baby together it would be this show. I get a Tenshi Ni Narumon vibe from it sometimes too. Why Utena? The "Glittering Crux Brigade" is so much like the student counsel concept to me. A bunch of characters who plot secretly after school in a mysterious place, but remain casual during the days they are at school. Colors everywhere!! Sparkles and mech fights, that is where Gurren comes in. The characters are super likable. The music score is fabulous. The first OP is to be desired, but the ending song is quite cute and catchy. If you are one for big deep plots, this show might not be for you, but if you want something fun, character orientated, and oooo shiny! This is a show to watch! I'm up to episode 16 and so far there are 20 episodes out. I hope the show sticks to being a 26 episode show.
Kuragehime AKA Jellyfish Princess. What to say about this show? Hmmm well it's pretty much about a group of girls who dorm together. Each one with a dorky obsession. While each character has her own particular fixation, the protagonist is Tsukimi Kurashita, whose love is of jellyfish.Tsukimi meets the stylish Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the illegitimate son of a politician and the rest you'll have to find out for yourselves. It's a comedy about being true to yourself no matter what kind of dork you are or what you are into. I am gonna continue this one until the end. It's only 11 episodes long.
I've yet again watched all of Paradise Kiss for the 3rd time. Man, I love that show!! Because of it, I decided to check out Gokinjo Monogatari.I've only seen the first episode, but so far so good. I've only heard bad stuff about the show. I guess if you are really into art, this show isn't the nicest to look at. Paradise Kiss & Nana animes did a good job translating Ai Yazawa's artwork into eye candy. Neighborhood Stories is a prequel to Parakiss because it follow's Mikako (Miwako's sister) in her journey to being the creator of her clothing line Happy Berry. What I like about the show the most is the feeling of 90's shoujo from it. It has the sweetness and innocence of what I loved about shows from that time. Kinda Hime-chan no Ribbon-ish. No magic so far though.
The Wandering Son. This show is brand new this season. So far it's quite nice. It's a drama about a boy in middle school who is going through discovering his gender identity. It's also about the problems that face the other boys and girls in his class. Dealing with puberty, relationships and transgender issues. It's a nice slice of life show. This is also going to be 11 episodes. I've seen all three that are out atm. I curious to see more.
I have 3 other things I wanted to review, but this is getting long so next time, I'll do so. *wink*
